Description

TP53INP1 encodes tumor protein p53-inducible nuclear protein 1, which is a tumor suppressor involved in the regulation of transcription and autophagy resulting from cellular stress. This protein responds to cellular stress by interacting with autophagosome-associated proteins and p53/TP53, inducing autophagy or apoptosis. It also regulates cell migration.
