Group of 50 T2DM patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). 33 patients of this group have end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Study suggests that the D allele of ACE I/D polymorphism contributes to the risk of developing diabetic nephropathy and progression of DN to ESRD in T2DM patients. Patient genotypes: 6 II; 20 ID; and 24 DD.
