53/259 Emiratis homozygous for 'A' allele of rs9939609. Statistically significant higher fasting glucose was observed in this group compared to subjects with other genotypes. Diabetic patients homozygous for 'A' allele of rs9939609 (n=13) in this group had significantly higher insulin levels compared to other genotypes.
